Hoppy Leap Day!

To celebrate Leap Day, we had fun with leapin' frogs! I found how to make orgami frogs that jump here.

I went step-by-step with the students and they did pretty well. Then I had them glue on googly eyes (it just makes it much more fun!) and showed them how to make their frog leap. We talked about inches and centimeters and how to measure using a ruler (start at zero).

They really had a great time with it! It's a great intro to our measurement unit coming up this month.

Click the frog for the printable student sheet! I doubled it on one page to minimize copies...don't know about you, but we have a certain copy count each teacher is allowed at our school. Just copy back to back and cut in half!

Thanks to Scrappin' Doodles for the clip art!
