Calm in the Storm

We all have moments of unthinkable reactions, in which your eyes fog over and you cannot think straight and you need to take a moment before going any further. Does this happen to you....or am I just crazy?

When a storm is brewing, what sets you straight in your moment of impatience, frustration, or sadness?

I have a student who recognizes when I get frustrated...if something is not going right, if the students are not listening, or anything else. She simply comes over and hugs me. That's it. No words. Just a hug.

She already gave me one at 8:40 in the morning. It helped me see that I needed to calm down, take a breather, and all will be okay.

Who or what will be your hug today?
