Do you remember Valentine's Day as a kid? It was so FUN. You get candy, cards, and special other gifts. You get to give everyone in your class something, and walk around the room depositing treats and cards in each other's bag. You get to make something fun for your parents. Let's face it- it's just good ol' fun.
The best part for a teacher is that it really has nothing to do with religion, so we still get to do it in my school. Today we made bags with glitter and heart stickers, made a Valentine for parents with conversation hearts, and passed out Valentines.
The kids were so happy and excited, I caught some of them hugging.
I overheard one girl say, "This is the best day of my life-EVER!"
Why can't all days be this good? :)
